Korech – Eating the “Hillel Sandwich"

Last night, while walking the dogs, Eli and I  saw our neighbor, Joe. We remained across the street from each other, and chatted – each on our respective side of Woodlawn Avenue. We shared how each of our households were coping with our strange reality, circa Spring of 2020.

I said that I feel like there is a lot of sweetness in our immediate day-to-day existence, as we spend days together as a family, and yet I can't help but think of the heartbreak around us.

He wisely stated – sort of like a Hillel Sandwich: sweetness surrounded by bitter.
